Although it still looks like summer outside we know that the fall is around the corner. There is a nice breeze in the mornings and evenings. Did you notice the "rust" in tree leaves? Fall is coming...and with the fall the busiest gift wrapping season is coming as well.
August is a great time to stock up on gift wrapping papers. Summer sales are on right now. I had some extra time and went downtown to the financial district and visited paper stores. There are two: Essence du Papier and Papyrus. Both carry a beautiful selection from all over the world that I have used in my gift wrapping.
I always like to take a look at what's trending on gift wrapping sheets and noticed a few things: dresses, shoes, maps and...moustaches are still on apparently? I also noticed a metallic trend in vibrant colours like blue on wrapping rolls.
Left the stores carrying a bag...I actually scored a few paisley and vintage print rolls. Went all the way home thinking and planning new packages. Can't wait to show you my new gift wraps and what you will be learning at my Holiday Gift Wrapping Workshops this year.
NOTE: One thing I noticed was the absence of nicely wrapped packages on display at the stores. Displays like the ones I see at my favorite stores in New York City...and there is a solution...
Essence du Papier and Papyrus: I am available to style beautiful packages for your store displays and events. Contact me.
