How to beat the Winter blahs using Moodboards. Use the power of colour.

After receiving a substantial amount of emails from blogger friends asking about my ways to beat the Winter blahs considering I live in Canada. Today I will be sharing exactly that!
First of all I believe in the power of COLOUR. It works wonders no matter what your location is.

Let me say first that I consider myself a Winter girl. Although I love cool temperatures I would rather see sunny days and blue skies. Winter can be wonderful, you know? It's a time of the year extremely busy and productive for me. The start of school {for me is learning and teaching}...So much going on...so much preparing for seasons ahead.

Winter blahs don't really get to me but when we have too many cloudy and dark days on a row I don't feel the best. We can't control the weather, can we? But we can make our thoughts {try to stay positive} and surroundings more appealing to deal with the dark days of Winter.

LET THE SUNSHINE IN...THE SUNSHINE IN...

My studio is just a spare room, nothing fancy. In fact I consider myself a frugal decorator when it comes to making it "pretty". Have a few moodboards for different purposes. This one I am sharing today is the "general" moodboard with images of things and places I love. Looking at them makes me HAPPY no green landscapes outside at this time of the year.

February is probably the darkest month. The one people {here} like the least. It's usually dark and stormy. Luckily at that time I am always working on Fall/Winter crafts and courses. It doesn't bother me...

What do you do to beat the Winter blahs? Do you use colour?
